Many users will see this expire in the coming months and will need to renew it online before expiry (for a further 5 years validity) or renew it in person at a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bmi.gv.at\/615\/start.html\">Registry Office<\/a> <mark class=\"has-inline-color has-prussian-blue-color\"><\/mark>to be renewed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The <strong>Certificate data (type, validity period etc.) <\/strong>can be found in the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.id-austria.gv.at\/de\/verwenden\/app-id-austria\"><strong>\u201eDigital Office\u201c app<\/strong><\/a> or at <a href=\"https:\/\/www.a-trust.at\/meine-id-austria\/zertifikatsdaten-anzeigen\/\"><strong>A-Trust<\/strong><\/a> Check.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Here's how to get your ID Austria:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>If you have a mobile signature:<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>To start the migration, log in to&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.oesterreich.gv.at\/de\">oesterreich.gv.at<\/a>&nbsp;or link your mobile signature&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.id-austria.gv.at\/de\/verwenden\/app-id-austria\">App \u201eID Austria\u201c<\/a>. You will be automatically guided through the necessary steps there. If your mobile signature has been officially registered, it can be&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.id-austria.gv.at\/de\/hilfe\/hilfe-zu-ida\/funktionsumfang#voll\">ID Austria with full functionality<\/a>&nbsp;unless upgraded, it is only possible to switch to the ID Austria with basic functions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>If you already have an ID Austria with basic functionality, which<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>\u2013 was officially registered:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Log in&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.oesterreich.gv.at\/\">oesterreich.gv.at<\/a>&nbsp;and follow the instructions for upgrading to full functionality, keeping the ID number of your valid Austrian passport or identity card to hand.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u2013 has not been officially registered (or does not have a valid Austrian passport\/ID card):<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Are you looking for a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bmi.gv.at\/615\/start.html\">Registry Office<\/a> for identity verification. There you will log in to the&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.id-austria.gv.at\/de\/verwenden\/app-id-austria\">App \u201eID Austria\u201c<\/a>&nbsp;and you will receive a TAN from the authority's employee in your app. Complete the switch directly in the app with a few clicks.
